Interviews, snippets of information and technical updates and news of the latest happenings in tinsel town make it a favourite programme of cine buffs. Moreover, viewers can select their favourite actor, film and song of the week.
Each episode has an interview with the ‘favourite actor of the week’ and the song and movie are also telecast. Viewers can also hope to win prizes for writing the best caption for an offbeat scene canned by the team of ‘Cinema Dairy.’

The first television hunt for the best comedian completes 100 episodes. The one and only Jagathy Sreekumar is the brand icon of the show. Twenty participants have qualified to compete in the semi-final. In addition to the permanent judges Aby, Kalpana and Kottayam Nazir, versatile actors such as Sukumari, Mala Aravindan, KPAC lalitha and Maniyan Pillai Raju will also participate in the show. Teams would be led by seasoned comedians Sajan Palluruthi, Shyam Reji and Dharmajan. New rounds such as ‘music round,’ ‘mask round,’ ‘phone-in jokes’ and ‘silent comedy’ are some of the innovative rounds that have been included to select the best comedians. The winner of the show stands to win Rs. one lakh.
Saranam Sahyadri

ACV presents ‘Saranam Sahyadri,’ which will feature five famous temples associated with the legend of Lord Ayyappa. By featuring these temples, the series will also take us through the legend of Ayyappa – his transformation and journey in life from a prince to an ascetic.
The temples featured in the programme are Kulathupuzha, Achankovil, Aryankavu, Erumeli and Sabarimala. The highlight of the series, will be scenes of Ponnambalamedu, the spot that is associated with the Makara Jyothi.
The programme will be telecast from November 19. The 10 episode series will end in January on Makaravilakku Day (January 14), which also falls on a Monday.
