Maaruvom, Maatruvom

Maaruvom Maatruvom on Podhigai TV, Sunday, 10.05 a.m.

(Podhigai TV, Sundays, 10.05 a.m.)

To make the day more thoughtful, the channel airs a new show that discusses many civic issues.

To be anchored by Udhayamram, editor of the Tamil monthly, ‘Nam Urathasindhanai,’ the programme in which students, teachers and parents participate and discuss issues that affect society, will have actor Delhi Ganesh as the moderator.

This half-hour show is an effort to bridge the generation gap among the students, parents and teachers.

Divided into two groups, one with the students and the other with parents and teachers, the programme features discussions on many persisting problems discussed by the participants from their perspectives. In the episode, aired on November 18, students from 23 schools around Neyveli took part along with their parents and teachers.

New on Jaya TV

Jaya TV launches a new show, ‘Mrs. Homemakers,’ to be aired on Fridays, 21.30.

As the name suggests, the show is meant for homemakers who will present lip-smacking dishes in a conservative set-up. Besides the cookery show, the episode will also have a few competitions on creativity and IQ.

The highlight of the show is the cricket match to be played by them forming into two groups.

Stay on as there are other segments too to make the episodes more energetic and interesting.

For those who might miss the fun, watch the re-run the next day at 11 a.m.
