Margazhi concerts
Gear up to enjoy a special series of music concerts by eminent artists and budding talents this ‘marghazi season’ on Vijay TV’s ‘RMKV Sangeetha Sangamam 07,’ to be aired from December 17-January 11, 2008, Monday-Thursday, 6.30 p.m.
A four-day music fest, which is being organised from December 5 to 7, at Image Auditorium, MRC Nagar, Santhome, Chennai, features distinguished musicians such as T.N.Seshagopalan, Nithyashree Mahadevan, Sowmya, Gayathri Girish, Anuradha Krishnamurthi and Sriram Parthasarathy.
Along with them, Sikkil Gurucharan and Anil Srinivaasan presented contemporary classical music.
There was also a special segment on instrumental music together with a vocal concert, ‘Thavil’ A.K.Palanivel with O.S.Arun, and violinists, Ganesh and Kumaresh with Jayanthi Kumaresh on the veena.
In the line of string instruments, it was Prasanna who enthralled the audience with his recital on the guitar. Also in the line-up are performances by Mahanadhi Shobana and Sainthavi. For details call 044 - 2822 4722.

Everything is same except for the name.
‘Needhiyin Kural’ aired on Makkal TV, Mondays and Fridays, 11 a.m., will be aired as ‘Kelvikkenna Badhil,’ from the forthcoming week. This one-hour live phone-in programme on critical social, political and economic issues, will be anchored by Carmel.
Spread over three segments, each issue on hand will be discussed in detail, aided with visual explanation and analysis of a problem from different perspectives.
The panellists will talk about serious issues and answer queries to be made by the viewers over phone.
