SANGEETHA DEVI DUNDOO

Real take on the fashion world

Film-maker Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion is sure to stir the industry. Like Madhur’s Page 3, here too many characters have been drawn from real-life. Priyanka Chopra is the leading lady but Kangana Ranaut’s role has got everyone talking. Her role is based on Geetanjali Nagpal, the once-famous-model who made news when she was found begging on the streets of Delhi. And model Mughda Godse will enact a wardrobe malfunction sequence (Carol Gracias?). Madhur is also on the lookout for two actors to act as gay designers!

Ramu and Adlabs now eye television

After the debacle of Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag, the film-maker has been lying low and working on Sarkar Raaj. Varma and Adlabs have decided to join hands again; this time it will be for a TV series. The new division, called ZPC, will have Adlabs venturing into television software with will as the programming head.

Amrita gets an image makeover

Amrita Rao has had enough of her girl-next-door appeal. After hits like Ishq Vishq, Main Hoon Na and Vivaah, she wants to do what every other heroine does today. She turned sensuous for her Telugu film Athidi and is keen in maintaining the sexy image in her next Hindi film, My Name is Anthony Gonsalves. She has just shot for a song in Goa and admits to be proud of her new “smoking hot image.”

On stage with Devgan

Veteran Pankaj Kapoor will be seen donning the role of a theatre artiste in Halla Bol. In this film that stars Ajay Devgan, Kapoor is a reformed dacoit who uses the medium of street theatre to get his message across to the masses. Joining his theatre group is Ajay Devgan, a small town guy who dreams of making it big in the film industry.
