For the seniors

An art auction to raise funds for the aged.

Habiart Foundation and Helpage India have just joined hands to raise funds for senior citizens living in HelpAge India centres. It would commence a charity auction called ‘Art for Aged’ this Saturday at Ballroom, The Oberoi hotel, New De lhi.

The auction promises to bring 90 eminent artists and sculptors pledging some of their significant artworks.

“Besides others, the auction will also have rare works by Jamini Roy, Sailoz Mookerjea, Meera Mukherjee and Gopal Ghosh,” says Rekha Modi of Habiart Foundation. A press conference informing about the auction would also be held at the venue.

“As many as 42 artists out of 90 in the auction are from Delhi and NCR region,” says Modi.
