A journey towards self-realisation

Maasree stressed on the need for meditation and introspection.
|
Maasree
Internationally known propagator of spiritualism and its practice, Maasree delivered a series of discourses for various associations last week in Visakhapatnam including the Visakhapatnam branch of Uttaran (which she founded). Highlighting the deteriorating situation of human values and its impact on mankind, she observed that it is time we look back and introspect. The remedy lies in meditation. Meditation should be considered as an experience equal to mother’s love.
Everyone should seek the advice of a guru to get initiated into meditation of some form and it should be made to emerge as a gentle and steady flow of a spring. Making it turbulently flow like a river in spate would make it miss the direction we intend. Let us not be slaves to the worst possible attributes of mankind - Kaama, Krodha, Mada and Maascharya which reside hidden in every individual. If one is able to get the Brahman in miniature that forms the nucleus of one’s soul, the ego gets subdued gradually and leads to self-realisation, she propounded, quoting many an illustration from the past and present. Managing trustee of Uttaran branch at Visakhapatnam, Mrs. B.Guha thanked Maasree.
