Essay competition

‘Vedas in Appar Thevaram’ is the subject of the eighth Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Hindu Mission’s Tamizh Literary Research essay competition. It is open to all without restriction of age limit.

All the researched pieces should be in Tamil. The other conditions are: Each page should contain 25 typed or clearly hand written lines, and the number of pages should not be less than 20 or exceed 40. The last date for receipt of essays is April 1. They should be sent to: The Secretary, Hindu Mission, Sankara Bhavanam, No.1076, 19th Main Rd., Anna Nagar West, Chennai-600040 (Ph: 26183704). Experts will select the three best entries, which will be awarded cash prizes of Rs.10000, Rs.5000, Rs.2500 respectively, along with certificates from the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. Ten consolation prizes will also be given away. Special prizes have been earmarked for entries from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
