Drama festival

From June 25, Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha’s 108th 10-day drama festival (daily at 6.45 p.m. and June 29, 10 a.m.) will begin at Narada Gana Sabha (main hall).

On the inauguration day, 6.15 p.m., the Sabha will confer the ‘Nataka Kalasarathy’ title on Y. Gee Mahendra for his service and dedication to the field of Tamil theatre. Nalli Kuppuswami will preside over the function and Vijayanthimala Bali will be the chief guest.

Mouli (veteran stage, film actor and director) and Kathadi Ramamurthy will felicitate the actor-playwright.

It will be followed by S. Ve. Sekhar’s comedy, ‘Ellame Thamashthan.’
