This will be the next short for the month of July on the ‘Simran Thirai’ show.

An unsurpassable force of energy in the form of Goddess Sakthi unites the good and evil deeds of the world safeguarding the interests of human beings.

How she fights for justice and instils spiritual faith in her devotees, is what this series is all about.

An evil man desires to procure the energies of Goddess Sakthi by unleashing heavenly secrets.

Realising the ill effect it would create on earth, the Goddess induces her devotees, Uma Maheshwari and Gayatri Devi, to fight against him.

Eventually, good wins over evil and peace is restored.

Simran as Goddess Sakthi, ‘Poovilangu’ Mohan, O.A.K.Sundar, Anuradha Krishnamurthy and Subbulaxmi star in this serial, directed by Aravindhraj.

Special show

Ragamalika, aired on Jaya TV, Sundays, 9 a.m. finished its 250-week run recently.

A special event was organised at Narada Gana Sabha to commemorate it.

Musician M.Balamuralikrishna was honoured with the title, ‘Sangeeth Samrat,’ on the occasion.

The award was presented by three legends of Indian film music, P.Suseela, S.Janaki and Vani Jairam, who also rendered a few hits.

Also featured were young playback singers, Saindavi, Haricharan and Pradeep.

The whole extravaganza will be aired as a three-part episode on Sundays beginning June 29.

Malarum Bhoomi

(Makkal TV, weekdays, 18.30)



Malarum Bhoomi on Makkal TV, weekdays, 18.30.

This one is a programme on agriculture.

The episode discusses various technological advancements in the field and provides tips for the farmers to make profits.

These apart, interviews with those successful in this field will also be featured to enable the farmers to learn from their experiences.
