Lecture-cum-demonstration on different forms of Hindustani music



SOnG ‘n’ talk Nagaraj Rao Havaldar

Hindustani Sangeeta Kalakara Mandali in collaboration with Gokhale Institute of Public Affairs is organising Pt. Shankara Sadashiva Joshi Memorial Concert on July 12. This lecture-cum-demonstration is by Pt. Nagaraj Rao Havaldar on different forms of Hindustani classical music. Meghna Kulkarni and Omkarnath will render vocal support and Satish Kolli will be on harmonium and Kedarnath Havaldar on tabla.

Ever since its inception in 1973, Hindustani Sangeeta Kalakara Mandali has been working towards popularising Hindustani classical music among the people of Bangalore. At present Mandali has 290 members and is also looking for volunteers. Mandali is a non-profit registered organisation trying to promote the cause of quality music. The organisation appeals to music lovers to lend support by collecting and giving both donations and sponsorships. You can send in your donations by cheque/demand draft in favour of “Hindustani Sangeeta Kalakara Mandali” to No.17, “Sumaprabha”, 1st Main, 8th Cross, ISRO Layout, Bangalore-5600 78. Donations are eligible for tax exemption under section 80 (G)

(The concert will be held on Saturday, July 12, 6:00 pm at Gokhale Institute of Public Affairs, Near BMS engineering college, Bull temple road, N.R Colony.
