A happy family gets caught in a sea of troubles when the father’s past catches up with him in the form of his illegitimate daughter. The quiet and uneventful lives of Viswantha Menon, his wife, Geetha, and their three daughters – Shyamini, Sindhoori and Niranjana, change forever when a convict named Mrudula enters their lives. Menon, who is the DIG of Prisons, gets a shock when he finds that Mrudula is his illegitimate child. Their lives take a turn for the worse when circumstances compel the honest officer to release Mrudula for a certain period of time. He persuades Shyamini to take her place instead. Sreenath, Kalaranjini, Sajan Soorya and Saranya act in the serial.
