Reality bytes

Entries invited for Amrita TV’s talent hunt for citizen journalists.

Judging merit: The first edition of ‘Best Citizen Journalist’ had attracted many contestants.

Best Citizen Journalist,’ launched by Amrita TV this year, was a talent hunt that tried to hone the skills of citizen journalists.

It had interesting and insightful segments that centred on investigative rounds, environmental issues, anti-corruption, poverty, human rights and so on.

Amrita TV has announced the second season of this reality show.

Entries invited

The channel is now inviting entries from aspirants who are not professional journalists and those who have not had training in journalism to participate in ‘Best Citizen Journalist-2.’

The new show, which means to encourage hardcore reporting focusing on social issues, is expected to garner a high degree of response.

The show is open to participants aged 21 and above.

The last date for registration is July 31, 2008 and the auditions will be held in Thiruvanathapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode.
