Brilliant ballet

Kumara Vijayam scripted by T. Sriramamurty in free verse form was presented in the form of a dance ballet by the pupils of Nritya Kalabharathi wing of Bharateeya Vidya Kendram at Kalabharathi recently.

The cinematic fervour its musical set up emanated notwithstanding, it reflected an impression of being successfully a pleasing effort in all other aspects.

The choreography was meaningfully set by the dance teacher of the school, Naatyacharya Avasarala Rukmaji Rao. Manager T.A. Raju achieved appreciable team spirit between the participants.

Vocal by the music teacher of the school, M. Venkata Rao who also set the music in the company of Edukondalu on mridangam, Dhanunjai on tabla, Neeladrirao on violin, Rajarao on flute, Durgarao on keyboard and Chaitanya on morsing was racy enough.. Rukmajirao authentically handled the cymbals.

Make-up and costume by Suryarao and Sudha, sound and lighting by Ramesh and party were adequate.

A.R.S.
