J. L. Pravalika, disciple of Guru V.S. Ramamurthy and Manjula Ramaswamy will be presenting her Bharatanatyam Arangetram under the aegis of Rama Nataka Niketan on August 17 at 10.15 a.m. at Ravindra Bharati.
A First year Medical student Pravalika has already performed many times in the city and won accolades.

Purnima Ashok Kumar will be performing a solo Bharatanatyam recital followed by her guru Ananda Shankar Jayant who’ll present her latest choreography ‘Darshanam – an ode to the eye’ on August 18 at Ravindra Bharati as part of
the SICA’s ‘Nrityotsav’.
Vyshnavi Sainath will be performing for SICA on August 19, 6.30 p.m. at Ravindra Bharathi. A student of Mass Communication in St. Francis College, Hyderabad, Vyshnavi is performing for the first time as a solo artiste. Vyshnavi, daughter and disciple of renowned Bharatanatyam artiste Rajeswari Sainath has received the Rukmini Devi Arundale award for best performance in Bharatanatyam and had performed in prestigious sabhas like the Madras Music Academy, Krishna Gana Sabha, Narada Gana Sabha, Karthik Fine Arts, Brahma Gana Sabha, Bharat Kalachar, all in Chennai.
Nada Tarangam Trust is holding the ‘3rd Gokulastami Music and Dance Festival between August 15 and 20 at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram, Baghlingampalli. Some of the artistes who’ll be featured are: K. Vagesh (vocal), Gayatri Shankaran (vocal), Sikkil Mala Chandrashekhar (flute), Sheela (vocal) and Alekhya Punjale (Kuchipudi).
