Independence day Special Programmes
Ulaganayakan on Surya TV at 17.30.
To celebrate this Independence Day, Surya TV, Asianet and ACV have a variety of special programmes on offer.
Asianet
The programme menu has a number of new shows starting at 06.25 a.m. with ‘Udayarashmi’ followed by ‘Ramayanamasam’ at 06.45.
A special ‘Suprabhatam’ greets viewers at 07.35, while at 08.35 ‘Layamadhuri’ enlightens them with information about old movies.
At 09.00 watch Mohanlal and Co. in the film ‘Hariharan Pillai Happy Aanu,’ followed at 12.00 by a special show on the forthcoming Mohanlal film ‘Kurukshetra.’
Come 13.30, and watch the premiere of ‘Ashwaroodan.’

Mayavi on Surya TV, 18.30
Starts off at 7.00 with a special episode of the morning show ‘Ponpulari,’ followed by ‘Ee ganam puthu ganam’ featuring songs from new movies at 08.30.
At 09.00 is the cinema ‘Kilukkam Kilukilukkam’ starring Kunchacko Boban, Jayasurya, Mohanlal and Kavya Madhavan.
In ‘Njangal Santhushtaraanu’ at 11.30, newly-married actor Gopika and her husband participate in a chat show. The video of their wedding reception will be telecast.
At 12 noon is the ‘Ride to Freedom’ cycle rally followed at 12.30 by ‘Minnaminnikootavum Maanikunjum,’ where actor Jayasurya talks about his character in his latest film ‘Minnaminnikootam.’
‘Heartbeats,’ a film starring Indrajith and Simran, will be telecast at 13.15 followed by a special programme ‘Bharthakkanmaaruday Sraddhakku,’ featuring Jayaram and Gopika talking about their new movie ‘Veruthay Oru Bharya.’ Incidentally, this was Gopika’s last film before her wedding.
At 16.00 is ‘Ready one-two-three,’ a special episode of ‘Kalikkalam.’ ‘Madambiyodoppam’ follows at 16.30 featuring the cast and crew of ‘Madambi,’ including Mohanlal, Kavya Madhavan, Siddhique, director B. Unnikrishnan and producer Joshi.
At 17.00 in ‘Minnithilangi Roma,’ actor Roma speaks from the set of her forthcoming movie ‘Kaanakazchakal.’
Ashwaroodan on Asianet at 13.30
Get ready for ‘Dasavatharam’ star Kamal Hasan in ‘Ulganayakan’ at 17.30 followed by the cinema ‘Mayavi’ starring Mammootty, Gopika and Suraj Venjaramoodu at 18.30.
ACV
At 8.30 and 17.30, ‘Sabarmathi,’ has patriotic songs sung by K.P.Udayabhanu. ‘Saira’ starring Navya Nair premieres at 10.00. ‘Suhani Raat’ at 13.45 has songs of Mohammed Rafi by Mohammed Aslam and party. ‘Bharatham - Orumayude Indrajalam,’ a journey through India, will be telecast at 19.30 and the blockbuster movie ‘Kalapani’ starring Mohanlal Prabhu and Tabu will be screened at 22.00.
