Samudhaaya Foundation, 8/1-C, East Abhiramapuram, Chennai - 600 004, (Ph: 044 – 2499 6800; email: samudhaaya@rediffmail.com), which has Carnatic musician Sudha Ragunathan as its founder and managing trustee, presents ‘Sahaay,’ an evening of music, mimicry and dance, for the cause of underprivileged children in need of heart surgery and also for Sri Arunodayam, a home for the mentally challenged and destitute children, on August 23, 5.30 p.m., at Sri Sadguru Gnanananda Hall, Narada Gana Sabha.
The guest of honour is S.M. Krishna, MP, Rajya Sabha. A. Natarajan, former director, Doordarshan, and M. Murali, Sri Krishna Sweets, will felicitate. The programme begins with mangala isai by Nemmara Brothers (Kannan and Anand). The CD, ‘Nadhaswaram,’ by the brothers will be released on the occasion.
Samudhaaya’s present project, ‘Have a heart for little hearts,’ envisages funding for the surgery of around 30 children at a total cost of Rs. 25 lakhs and helping out the children at Arunodayam.
