New serial
Sathyajyothi Films’ new serial ‘Kalyanaam’ will begin telecast Monday to Friday, 7.30 p.m., from March 2 on Sun TV. The serial stars actress Meena in a powerful role.
The screenplay, direction and story are by Pattukottai Prabhakar while it is directed by Vidudhalai. The title song, composed by Bharadwaj, is sung by Chitra.
The cast includes Yuvarani, Delhi Kumar, Sakshi Siva, Brinda Das, Mohanram, Rindhiya, and Vandana.

This week, the participants of the talent hunt for children will have to face the Folk Round.
The judges for this round are Pushpavanam Kuppuswamy and Anitha Kuppuswamy.

The cast includes Neeraja, Neepa, Pooja, Sandra and Akila.

Airtel Super Singer

This week, Airtel Super Singer 2008 will present Black & White round, where the contestants will perform to evergreen hits from Tamil cinema of the 1960s and 1970s. Legendary singers P. B. Sreenivas, L. R. Easwari and veteran actor Manorama are the special guests. They will give tips to the contestants and also take a trip down memory lane to recall some of their experiences during recording sessions.
A Rider Named Death

The international cinema series brings the Russian film ‘A Rider Named Death,’ based on the novel, ‘The Pale Horse.’ Centred round Russia before the First World War, the story is about the struggles of a revolutionary group. The film has Tamil sub-titles.
Mother’s Guest
(Makkal TV, Saturday, 6.03 p.m.)
Watch the Iranian film ‘Mother’s Guest’ Iranian film on February 28. Directed by Darish Mehruji, it is about the lady of a poverty-stricken household. Expecting guests, she manages the situation with the help of neighbours.
