Music garland
Sri Maharajapuram Santhanam Rasikas Trust Brindavan, 436/1, Dr. Ramaswamy Road, K.K. Nagar, has been conducting Nadhaharam - a musical offering in which more than 108 musicians participate and render Pancharatna kritis of Tyagaraja in front of the main idol of Sri Raghavendra on the occasion of his jayanti at Mantralayam.
This time, being the fifth year, around 200 musicians from various categories viz., vocal, veena, flute, violin, mridangam, ghatam, morsing, ganjira, tabla, guitar, nagaswaram, thavil, etc., will be part of this ceremony, to take place on March 3.
Other highlights of the programme include special mallari by leading nagaswara vidwans during Rathotsava, Namasankirthana pradakshina by musicians and Layahaaram by percussion artists.
The event will take place in the presence of Sri Sushameendra Tirtha Swamiji and Suyatheendra Tirtha Swamiji of Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt. The event will be aired on Vijay TV.
