Oscar winner Resul Pookutty’s fans include industrywallahs too. Actor Gul Panag is a self-proclaimed fan of Resul though she has still to work with him. She recalled her first “meeting” with Resul. “I had heard a lot about Res
ul and was dying to work with him. While working in Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Dor,’ I was told Resul would be doing the mixing for the film. On the first day of the shoot, I went to the sound console and saw a man sitting there. I stretched my hand out and said, ‘Hi Resul, it will be great working with you.’ To my dismay, it was not Resul but Vipin Bhatti. He explained, ‘Due to some problem, Resul won’t be doing the movie. I will be doing it. Hope I have not hurt you.’” An embarrassed Gul apologised and took flight instantly.
