Big-eyed Ann `Elsamma' Augustine plays a journalist in her second film - Ranjith Shankar's `Arjunan Sakshi.' Interestingly, this confident lass has completed a course in journalism and so playing a mediaperson on screen should not be a difficult task for her at all.

Shyamaprasad hinted that he has received an interesting offer to direct a film in Hindi. He added that he is still mulling over the offer and wondering whether to do or not to do. If it takes off, it should be interesting to see how this leading director from Malayalam makes his mark in Bollywood.

It's official
And now it is official. What remained in the realm of guesses has come true as reigning Miss Kerala Indu Thampy has been signed on to play the title role in `Anabela,' yesteryear actor Ambika's maiden directorial venture. "I play the title role and the cast has several new face. The male lead is played by Kishore Thampy (no relatkive of mine). We attended training sessions conducted by Suresh Nair and Ambika, herself. Since she is an actor, she knows exactly what is to be done," says Indu. Scripted by Suresh Nair, the film's dialogues have been written by Ambika.

IFFK premiere
Of the eight Malayalam films that will be screened for the International Film Festival of Kerala, two (`Elektra' and `Makaramanju') were premiered in the Indian Panorama section of the International Film Festival of India in Goa. Four of the films, including `Elektra,' `Makaramanju,' will have their premiere in Kerala during the IFFK. The two other films are `Veetilekkuyulla Vazhi' and `Janaki.'
