This week on the channel's classic Indian films section is this Malayalam film directed by K.S. Sethumadhavan. Satyan, Jayabharati, Prem Nazir, Bahadur, Adoor Bhasi star in the lead. Repeat of the film is at 9.30 a.m. April 10.

Vodafone Comedy Stars

(Asianet, weekends, 9 p.m.)

The competition heats up as the reality contest for comedians reaches the ninth stage. Prepare to laugh out loud as the contestants show their skills at recreating comedy scenes from Malayalam movies and come up with skits based on politics.

Ambedkar Day specials

(Asianet, Thursday)

The channel marks Ambedkar Day with a series of shows beginning with ‘Mukthisudhakaram' at 6.15 p.m. followed by a special ‘Suprabhatham' at 7.15 p.m. Get up-close-and-personal with stars in ‘Chillujalakam' at 11.30 p.m.

At 3 p.m. is the game show ‘Valkannadi.' The movies for the day are ‘ Romeo' starring Dileep at 9 a.m., ‘ Kappalmuthlali' at 12 noon and Santosh Sivan's Prithiviraj-starrer ‘ Ananthabhadram' at 3.30 p.m.

Viswasichalum Illangilum

(Asianet, weekdays, 10.30 p.m.)

Kerala has its share of myths, legends, rituals and folklore. The show delves into them and bizarre incidents that are associated with them, trying to get to the bottom of each strange incident.

Super Dancer Junior – Finale

(Amrita TV, Sunday, 11.30 p.m.)

It's the finale of the reality dance show for children. Of the all-girl finalists, sprightly Swarna Thomas lived up to expectations and came out on top after proving her versatility as a dancer in various rounds. Malavika came a close second, while Shafina got the third prize and Chintu, the fourth.

The jury consisted of veteran actor/dancer Sudha Chandran, choreographer Kala Master and director Shyamaprasad.
