The way to New York
Two Malayalam films get selected to the 11th New York Indian Film Festival.
‘Veetilekkulla Vazhi' (The Way Home), directed by Biju Kumar and starring Prithviraj in the lead, and ‘T.D.Dasan Std IV B,' directed by Mohan Raghavan, have been selected to the 11th New York Indian Film Festival which will be from May 4 to 8. Biju Menon and Swetha Menon play the lead in Mohan's film. These are the only two films from South India that have won a place in the film fete that will screen 25 feature films from India.
The list includes films such as ‘A Decent Arrangement,' starring Shabana Azmi, ‘Do Dooni Chaar' (Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh star), Aparna Sen's ‘Ithi Mrinalini' and Sudhir Mishra's ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi' (starring Irrfan Khan).
‘A Decent Arrangement' makes its world premiere in the festival.
Documentaries and short film from all across India will also be screened at the festival.
‘Veetilekkulla Vazhi' has also been selected to the competition section of the 13th Imagine India International Film Festival Madrid, Spain (May 13 to 30).
