Every drop of water counts..

RAIN HAS failed and there is less and less water every year, posing a challenge to the farming community.

To help farmers in this regard, the Mysore Rural Development Agency (MYRADA) Krishi Vigyan Kendra, the farm science centre in Erode district, organised a water management seminar recently in Thalawady, in association with the Water Technology Centre of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

During the seminar, several water conserving devices like drip and sprinkler irrigation systems were explained to farmers. The faculty members of the TNAU, Selvaraj and Mozhi Selvam, dealt on topics like quality of water and micro irrigation techniques.

More than 100 farmers participated in the seminar. The Agricultural Officer of the Kendra, Suresh, thanked.
