Sethuramaiyer strikes again

The film `Sethuramaiyer CBI' has brought back the smiles to the industry. The sequel to the CBI series from the Mamootty-K.Madhu-S.N.Swami combine is a runaway hit, going by reports coming in from various centres.

Kavitha Theatre, where the film was released in Kochi, has been witnessing packed houses for the last three weeks of its release. And it is none other than Mamootty who is walking away with the applause for his performance.

As Sethuramaiyer, he has succeeded in maintaining the style he had adopted in `Oru CBI Diarykurippu' and `Jagratha'. The box-office success of the film has allayed fears over its performance and has revived hopes for sequels.

S.N. Swami's script is fast and close-knit with the suspense being maintained till the climax. Jagathy Sreekumar, actor, scores in the cast with a brief appearance. Mukesh and Saikumar have done justice to their roles.

The theme music of the film has become a hit with mobile users in town. The film's success is likely to spawn more films in this genre in the coming days. It is learnt that discussions are already on to bring back stories of police officers on screen.
