Traffic-stopper

YOU'VE HEARD of show-stoppers. Well, this one was a trafficstopper outside Sathyam complex on Valentine's Day. First, Cupid was shooed away by Deth Zone, the hard rock band that belted out its versions of Megadeth and Metallica, and an original `Let's do it again' to get the show started under the sun (at 2 p.m).

Like rock wasn't enough, next came Dread Nox - supposed to the city's first `Gangsta Rap' band with rappers Jeol, Varun, Joseph and Leslie. A DJ kept the movie-going crowds occupied during the break around showtime. Soon, it was the turn of Little Babooshka's Grind - with the Janakiram brothers Arjun (bass and vocals), Avneet and Aum (on guitars), Praveen on vocals and Vasanth on drums - coming up with its own compositions.

Having had their fill of `Antibiotic,' `Pretty Child,' and `Money,' the 500 plus crowd slowly dispersed after they blocked the entrance and held up traffic for a while. The event was a part of Unwind Centre's `Live 1o1 Goes to Town' series of concerts.
