Sirivennela raises his hand to show the golden bracelet
TELEVISION ANCHOR-turned-singer, M. Vijayalakshmi, held sway over the audience during the 12-hour `Cine gana lahari' programme organised by M.V. Event Managers at a function held in honour of the lyricist, Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry.

Music buffs remained glued to their seats as Vijayalakshmi rendered the songs penned by Sirivennela like `Lalitha priya kamalam...' from the award-winning film `Rudra Veena,' `Demudu karunisthadani, varamulu kuripisthadani' (Prema Katha), `Andela ravalini swaramuluga...' (Swarna Kamalam), `Telavarademo swami...' (Sruthilayalu) and the more recent `Kalla loki kallu petti chudavenduku...' (Nuvve Kavali).
She sang some old melodies of P. Suseela, S. Janaki and L.R. Eswari also. Artistes of Saraga Malika Orchestra gave her excellent support. Sadguru K. Sivananda Murthy of Bheemunipatnam adorned Sirivennela with a golden bracelet later.
