Fond farewell

THE INDO Cine Appreciation (ICA) Foundation, recently, bid farewell to the Max Mueller Bhavan (MMB) Director, Eleonore Rahimi-Laridjani, on Sunday evening with a movie. Since Girish Kasaravalli was the MMB Director's favourite director, the foundation decided to screen the Kannada film, `Thaye Saheba.' Dr. Rahimi, who stayed glued to the canvas at the Film Chamber, expressed her thanks for "the interesting film" that seemed to have struck a chord with the movie buffs, with its touching tale of the protagonist - a woman who sacrifices everything she has, for the people she loves.

"Dr. Rahimi has been associated with us for the past eight years. She has given us some wonderful German films during the period for our screenings. This was our way of saying `Thank You'," Thangaraj of ICA said. Dr. Rahimi was presented with a shawl. Isaac Kotikappilly, music director of `Thaye Saheba,' also spoke on the occasion.
