Italian celebrations

IF YOU want to feel like you are in distant Italy, there are some people out here to oblige. I-t.Alia, the restaurant at the Park Hotel, has launched "Amo l'Italia," a series of celebrations listed in the Italian calendar on All Fools Day and the day after that.

The event will give a taste of Italian culture, traditions, and the famed Italian cuisine. "Italians are known for their passion for fun, love, and life. The first event is a reflection of the lighter side of their culture," says a hotel insider.

Traditionally, All Fools Day is celebrated all over Italy as "Il Pesche d'Aprille" (He's an April fish), when fish and pranks take centrestage. No wonder, the Italian celebrations here too will be dominated by fish.
