Cop ho to aisa

They stood mute spectators when irate employees chased the Vice-Chancellor of a university around the State Assembly.

They have always been quiet when thieves take to their heels after snatching gold chains or moneybags from the public, or, like in the movies, they reach the spot mostly in the end.

They are more like statues when traffic goes haywire all around them. You know whom we are talking about.

That man in khaki, whose nonchalance seems to always get noted and slammed more than his humanity.

Isn't it time someone did something to chase off the evil, lethargic traits in our cops, to encourage, invigorate and prop them up?
