Contest for shutterbugs
IF YOU belong to the group of what used to be called "shutterbugs" once, it is time to load up your cameras. Get ready for what promises to be the world's biggest environmental photo competition.
As part of the annual World Environment Day celebrations in Barcelona in Spain, the United National Environment Programme (UNEP) has launched its fourth international photographic competition on environment, sponsored by Canon. The competition will be on till October and is open to all nationalities and ages.
A Gold Prize of $ 20,000 will be awarded to the winner of the general category, which is open to those aged 25 or above. There are also separate categories and cash prizes for youth and children.
