Enthralling recital

A CARNATIC vocal recital was given by Gayathri Venkatraghavan at SPB Colony at the programme organised by the Sesha Gana Sabha, the cultural wing of the Seshasayee Paper and Boards.

She built up a quick rapport with the rasikas with her opening varnam Gajananayudam (Chakkaravagam). This was followed in quick succession by Seshachala Nayakam (Varaali), Annapurane (Saama), Sobillu (Jagan Mohini) and Akilandeswari (Dujavanthi).

She was supported by Melakaveri Thiyagarajan on violin and Nellai Balaji on mridangam.
