Astonishing Indians

FILLERS FEATURING astonishing Indians -- four-limbed writer, candle haircutter, electricity man and supernatural woman -- will make a debut on Reality TV starting this August-end. Emotions, challenges, innovations and inspiration are reflected in these three-minute creative fillers.

Aqueel Keeratpuri of Mumbai is an artist who uses candles as his tools and has revived the age-old tradition of cutting hair by burning the hair ends with a special wick.

Another filler is about the four-limbed writer, Tapan Dey, who writes in four different languages with both his hands and feet. Astonishingly enough, he also writes with his eyelashes and is dedicated to helping the physically impaired people write.

A stark portrayal of the unconventional Indian, these fillers have been shot in ten locations across the country. Vikas, a welder, residing in a congested locality in Mumbai, vacated his 200 square feet room for his pet horse! Rajmohan Nair, known as "Current Mohan'', generates 440 watts of electricity from his body.

Yet another filler highlights the enthusiasm of a man who drove miles backward in reverse gear from the Pakistan border to a Punjab village. Ramcharan, a humble folk artist from Rajasthan, inhales air and exhales melody through his nostrils. Nan Umrigar, who has authored a book, "Sounds of Silence'', claims to communicate with her deceased son!
