Vivek Narayan with the Rocky Mountain Emmy Award.
VIVEK NARAYAN received two Emmy Awards for his work as editor at the 27 Rocky Mountain Emmy awards, the Southwest chapter of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences. The Awards ceremony was held in Phoenix, Arizona, U.S. on September 11. A thorough-bred Chennaiite, Vivek did his Bachelors in Visual Communication at Loyola College, "where it all started." After a brief stint in Chennai, he worked with ad guru Prahlad Kakkar for three years before he went to the U.S. to do his masters degree in Film & Video Production at the University of North Carolina Greensboro.Vivek then worked as Special Projects Editor at the American Broadcasting Company station in Phoenix, U.S. He received five Emmy nominations, out of which he won Emmys for two Investigative documentaries he edited: `Price of Polygamy,' which he says, is a look at the systematic abuse of women and children in a remote Polygamist community in Colorado city, Arizona, U.S.; and `Lost to India,' an in-depth look at the outsourcing of Arizona Welfare jobs to India.
