IT IS going to be `Bhagavad Gita Day' at the Setupati Higher Secondary School on September 26, when the Chinmaya Mission will conduct the finals of the `Gita chanting competition' for school students.

Nearly 500 students from 40 schools in Madurai, Rajapalayam and Sivangaga have qualified for the final round. The preliminary round was held in the respective schools.

The students have been split into four groups: Group A — LKG to Standard I, Group B — Standard II to IV, Group C - Standard V to VII and Group D — Standard VIII to X.

The first three winners will be awarded prizes worth Rs. 1000, Rs. 750 and Rs. 500, and all the participants will be given mementoes.
