Dhanush in love, to marry Rajni's daughter

Cine star Rajnikant had nothing to say about the proposed marriage of his daughter to Dhanush. Seen here leaving the Goodluck preview theatre at Nungambakkam in Chennai.

ACTOR DHANUSH is to marry superstar Rajnikant's daughter Aiswarya.

The young actor held a press meet to make the announcement but was not very forthcoming with the details.

All he would say was: "Yes, I am going to marry Aiswarya and it is going to be on November 18. It is an arranged marriage and both our parents have accepted the proposal.

"Aiswarya and I know each other but only recently we realised we are in love and when we told our parents they have proceeded in the right direction. I have decided to get married before my 22nd birthday. If it were not Aiswarya it would have been someone else. But I am happy that it is going to be with Aiswarya. I am not bothered whether she is older than me or not. I am little nervous but I am happy."

Neither Danush's father, director Kasturi Raja, nor anyone from Aiswarya's family was present at the press meet.

Dhanush made it clear that "Both of us want our marriage to be a simple and private family affair." The Press would be invited to the reception.Asked about honeymoon plans, he said, "as it is personal I want to keep it myself."

Questions on the venue of the marriage and the details of the romance went unanswered. Old hands in the media recalled that when Rajnikant married Latha at Tirupati, he too did it without any presspersons around.
