Kamal hops on to Mumbai Express
A scene from the film
AFTER THE success of Vasool Raja M.B.B.S, Kamal Haasan is back with a new venture.
For the film shoot of Mumbai Express commencing today in Mumbai, Kamal was busy giving final touches to the script. Shooting for this bi-lingual (Hindi/Tamil) film will be completed in January and is expected to be released on Tamil New Year (April 14).
The entire cast of the film was in Mumbai, including its heroine, Manisha Koirala who has paired once again with Kamal after Indian. The rest of the cast includes Nasser, Ramesh Aravind, Pasupathi, Kovai Sarala, Vaiyapuri and Hrithik Deena. The Hindi version will have Om Puri, Mahesh Manjirekar, Sourab Shukla, Vijai Raj and Sarath Saxena.
Kamal Haasan, who has co-produced the movie with brother Chandrahaasan, has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues.
When asked about the film's storyline, Kamal was tight-lipped and only said that it would be family entertainer. Raj Kamal Films International has given several good films like Apoorva Sagodharargal. Joining me in this venture is Singeetam Sinivasarao, director of several comedies like Michael Madhana Kama Rajan and Magalir Mattum and the much talked about silent film Pesum Padam."
As it is a bi-lingual film the entire shooting will be held in Mumbai. "It is a laugh-a-riot movie and hopefully the viewers will enjoy it," Kamal said.
Ilaiyaraaja is in New York to record music for the film. Siddarth will crank the camera, while Ashmit Kunder handle the editing. `Vikram' Dharma will be the stunt master.
