Financial technology course
THE Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR) and Polaris Software have come together to launch a three-year postgraduate diploma programme in Financial Technology targeted at working professionals in the banking, financial services and IT industry.
The announcement was jointly made by Nachiket Mor of IFMR and Arun Jain, CMD Polaris, at a press conference in Chennai on Wednesday. While IFMR is bringing in its experience in finance, Polaris will bring in the technology component. Mr. Jain pointed out that it took almost two years ``to break in a technology guy into finance and vice versa.''
The course was formulated keeping in mind the lack of skilled professionals in the industry, he said.
The first batch would start in July/August.
The diploma would be offered in seven modules in finance, banking, system architecture, industry trends and practices, the use of IT in operations and change management. For more information visit www.ifmr.ac.in
