Now, virtual girlfriend for mobile users

Mobile phone users in the city may soon be hooked to a girlfriend. Ifuturz Teletechnologies, a city- based value-added mobile service provider has announced the launch of Tina, a virtual mobile girlfriend who will interact with mobile users to provide a range of services.
Operating through text keywords, users can seek Tina's help to search yellow pages, check railway, flight or bus timings, go mobile shopping or for location- based services like ATM locaters and petrol pump locaters. It will also help them secure a loan or an insurance policy.
Tina is designed to let the users create their own personal multimedia SMS portals and share text, graphics and video clips with others. And if you use a Java enabled handset, Tina will let you read magazines and cartoon comics. She will also provide services like ringtones, Java games and wallpapers.
According to Anish Achuthan, CEO of Ifuturz, the service is being launched in Thiruvananthapuram as a pilot project. " It will soon be made available nationwide," he says.
