Bliss for Lord Desai

AP

LORD MEGHNAD DESAI did not expect Cupid to strike him. But that is exactly what happened when he found himself smitten by the editor of his book. Not one to shy away from confronting his ladylove and his emotions, Desai wasted no time in pursuing his new goal with single-minded devotion. He spoke to her from New York, over long telephone conversations till she asked him what he had in mind.

"That's when I proposed to her," recounts Desai with a twinkle. He zipped back to Delhi to convince her that she too had found love. While Desai claims that she will no longer edit his books, he said, "I am looking forward to co-authoring some books with her." And by the looks of it, he's a tough suitor to put off.
