Sami the optimist
P.V. Sivakumar
FELLOW artistes wonder at his charisma. Singer ADNAN SAMI steams ahead and manages without much effort to rope in Bollywood's shining stars to figure in his music videos. Sami, recently said that the stars were an essential part of his videos "because they add a curiosity value." He added that most of his videos pictured the heroines crying, but "I too cry and that is how my life has been. I have loved and lost and there can be no great poetry or music without passion." Meanwhile, like many others, he too seems to be bitten by the acting bug and is planning his debut on the big screen. His vital stats not withstanding, Sami has huge hopes and is convinced that he will be able to do justice to his role. Talking about the TV reality show that he features in which looks for new singing talent, Sami said that the toughest part of the job was being able to say "no" and that too graciously. With his spontaneous sense of humour, coming to his rescue when the going is tough, Sami, ever the optimist, feels that one has to take life as it comes.
