Her own person
SHE is definite that she cannot be stereotyped. Actor URMILA MATONDKAR insists that she has never repeated a role. "I never do similar roles. Look at my films "Bhoot", "Ek Hasina Thi" or "Pinjar", each one offered a different cameo and a different challenge," said the actor. Now that her latest film "Naina" ready to hit the theatres, Matondkar explained her long hiatus from movies. She said her roles were usually intense ones and required " loads of preparation." While she personally is not afraid of anything, she says she enjoys "doing supernatural movies because it is difficult to convince the audience and that is the challenge." However Hindi cinema's original "jhatka " girl insists that she would love to act in a comedy. On a more serious note, she adds that she has survived the industry on her own terms because she has has no timer for cribbers. "As long as I know the line that separates my reel life from the real one I don't see any problems arising," said Matondkar.
