Throwing light

Ramachandra Guha's "Verdicts On Pakistan" (Magaazine, September 11) made interesting reading. It throws light on the behaviour of certain sections of the American Press. To them, our "non-alignment" was "immoral" and Pakistan's democracy, lorded over by Generals, was to be watched "with interest".
