BOLLYWOOD DOLLS

MOVE over Barbie. It's time for the real McCoy. Given the popularity of all things Bollywood, it is no surprise when an enterprising toy company decides to manufacture replicas of some of India's hottest and most popular stars. So for all those collectors of memorabilia and the star-struck, there's King Khan, Hrithik Roshan and KAJOL to choose from in the first line up. Though not limited editions, the 12-inch dolls have managed to generate a buzz not only among the fans but also among the stars themselves. Actor Kajol, who unveiled the dolls, said she "already loved the idea of being represented by a 12-inch miniature version." Though initially sceptical, Kajol changed her mind after she saw the final result. "This is a nice way of staying close to our audience," she said.
