Hope for cure

"No room for tears" (November 19) is sure to raise the hopes on breast cancer patients. Most cancers can be cured if detected early. I remember reading the words of one patient: "Breast cancer has invaded my body but it need not invade my spirit. There may be scars on my chest, but there need not be scars on my heart." That is indeed the spirit required to deal with this disease.
