Lure of the silver screen
A MILLION hearts died when he quit the world of glamour to renounce the world. He was even then considered the sexiest sanyasi. But he discarded even that role to take on a new avatar as a politician. Wearing different hats worked well for him, but one-time actor-politician, VINOD KHANNA remained oblivious to the calls of the tinsel screen. "As a politician then I couldn't act. I was busy doing different things for the people of my constituency," explained Khanna. But the lure of an interesting role has finally brought him back to films. Khanna is very clear that acting is what his profession is, while politics is a platform to serve people better with. Khanna who is no stranger to fame said he still managed to exert that famous charm over women. "They are shy to tell me but I can see it in their eyes. Some of my women friends tell me I'm looking terrific", adds he. For a man who says he has no regrets, life is still an open book, something his guru taught him years ago.
