Unsung heroes

The article on Postman's Park, London, ("Ordinary heroes, December 31) was excellent. It was a great effort from Watts to bring to light the real heroes.

The article on Postman's Park is a tribute to the unsung heroes of real life. We need to encourage such establishments in the future, which help us to retain stories of outstanding courage and humanity. It has been rightly described as a treasure of mankind and for the generations to come.
