Gifted artists

In “Rare confluence of genius” (July 1) Vatsala Vedantam provides rare and valuable insights into the lives of three great personalities. It is unfortunate that Doraiswamy Iyengar passed away before the film was completed but MVK and H.Y. Sharada Prasad deserve all praise. The saddest part is that the Mysore culture that once gave rise to gifted artistes has been totally eroded over the years.
