Prevent encroachment

With reference to “Between floods and drought” (July 15) despite fickle weather and scarcity, the main reason is not nature it is people who grab land with help from politicians and officials.The Government must take the necessary steps to prevent encroachment and to help the farmers or else the cycle of floods and droughts will spread throughout the country.
