Dream run

He adores child actors. Why? “Because you can shut them up.” Filmmaker VISHAL BHARDWAJ smiles mischievously and then adds in all seriousness, “They are more natural and easier to work with. However, with them, you have to become a k id to create a rapport.”

Since he’s just finished his recent project based on Ruskin Bond’s story “The Blue Umbrella”, one has to take Bhardwaj’s word for it. After all it isn’t easy working with the little ones, but for him it was a dream run.

According to Bhardwaj, what was tough was “getting ordinary characters to make a dramatic film.”

However, if initial reports of the film’s success are anything to go by, he won’t have much to worry about. Maybe he can stick to his promise. “One children’s film for every adult one.”
