Hard at work
SUCHITRA BEHAL
She’s been there, done that. Remained truly in-your-face with her personal life and has never regretted even one move in her life. Actor SUSHMITA SEN has decided to move on. Not only in her personal sphere but also in the professional. And this
she does by announcing her intention to turn into a producer.
Sen is busy working on a movie on the life of Rani of Jhansi. That it’s a mega project can be gauged by the fact that a special studio will be constructed for the movie in Madhya Pradesh, which will later be converted into a museum by the State Government. “This isn’t just another ambitious project,” declared Sen. “It’s a legacy I will be leaving behind to the world. This is celebrating history, so whatever I do will be part of history. I want to release the movie by 2009 so…”
In addition Sen also has plans to launch a trust to monitor the funds from this film in order to start a project for the girl child. That she will play the main character of the film is a foregone conclusion. Said Sen “I’ve limited the roles I want to work on. I didn’t want to be an Anjali, Aarti or any of that. I’m busy with my restaurant business, I want to develop a spa and now I want to direct.”
And just in case you think it’s all talk and no work, she rattles of numerous other films that she’s already working on. Phew!
